Education of Children in Hawaii Affected by Recession

Yes, it is true that area of education in Hawaii is affected by recession. Though President Barack Obama is encouraging more time spent in classrooms, his home state has made shortest school year in the nation through the new union contract that requires closing of schools on most Fridays for the remainder of the academic school year. It is believed that a total of 17 days will be deducted from the remaining school days for reasons like budget-cutting in area of education. A lot of people think that the timing is not right to carry out a deduction on the number of days children will be in school as Hawaii is believed to rank near the bottom in terms of national educational achievement. Currently, there will only be 163 days children in Hawaii will be in school. While for children in other districts in United States, 180 days.
