Maguindanao Philippines Massacre Death Toll Rises to 57

Yes it is confirmed, the massacre in Maguindanao, Mindanao, huge part of the Philippines, rises to 57. For the past few days, this massacre incident which is considered as the most brutal massacre in the country, has been earning significant amount of attention from people all around the world. Now, it's a sad news, but it had already claimed 57 lives. The alleged mastermind of this massacre, which is also known as the Ampatuan massacre (after the place where the mass graves were found), is Andal Ampatuan Jr., son of the incumbent Maguindanao governor Datu Andal Ampatuan Sr., in the upcoming election for governor. The victims were mostly from the side of the Mangudadatu clan. Mangudadatu's wife, two sisters, lawyers, and aides are confirmed to be included in the list of victims. But of course, aside from them, more than 20 journalists and some government employees were also killed. The massacre happened morning of November 23, 2009 when members from Mangudadatu clan along with the lawyers, aides, journalists and government employees were having their way that supposedly should lead to an office for the filing of certificate of candidacy for the National Elections next year.
